We love when our clients bring images (Instagram posts, Pinterest boards, magazine clippings, etc.) of their garment ideas. We will go over those images and discuss the designs they like and the ones they don’t in order to understand the dream garment for the client.

Please bring your garment(s) in garment bags and any undergarments you’re planning to wear on your wedding day. If you would like to customize any part of your attire, we love when our clients bring images (Instagram posts, Pinterest boards, magazine clippings, etc.) of their garment ideas. We will go over those images and discuss the designs they like and the ones they don’t in order to understand the ideal alterations for the client.

For shopping and custom appointments, Chelsea, our Creative Director, will begin sketching and sourcing materials. This will give you and Chelsea something to work from in future appointments as you continue to refine the design.
For alterations, Alexis, our Director of Tailoring, will start working with our team to make the adjustments discussed in the appointment and schedule the next appointment to continue fine-tuning the fit of your garment(s).

Each garment requires the greatest care and attention to detail. The Creative Director and her team prefer six months to a year to create a custom garment. But, they have completed many garments in less time. If you are worried about your timeline, please reach out and we will assess things on a case by case basis.

YES! We offer sizing for all bodies and offer modification to make our designs more accessible as well.

Alterations typically range from $1,200-1,700+tax, with a minimum of $800+tax. Customizations and more intricate gowns can cause the price to increase. We will provide you with a more accurate quote during your initial consultation.
Our collection gowns and garments pricing begins at $3,500.
Our fully custom garments begin at $4,500.
Our custom pricing includes the initial sourcing and sketching, pattern design, garment construction, every fitting, alterations, and communication. All told, custom and collection gowns/garments can take anywhere from 60-100+ hours to complete. They are made in our atelier in Minneapolis by hand with couture methods.

Of course! We love meeting your friends and family. It's always helpful to bounce ideas off the people we love. As our studio is fairly small, we do recommend limiting your guest count to no more than four individuals.

Your tailor will let you know when you are required to bring your shoes. We only measure for the hem with the shoes that you’ll be wearing on your wedding day. No need to bring in test shoes unless you wanted to see how they look with your garment.
-
We estimate 3-4 appointments but always schedule in wiggle room if a garment requires more intricate alterations.

It is a common and very understandable question! We all fluctuate here and there and wedding garments are arguably the most important item of clothing we will wear. Modehaus is a size inclusive and body neutral business that is going to accept and service our clients at every stage and size.
We always leave ourselves space to take in or let out a garment as much as possible without causing structural complications to the construction and fit of the garment. We also prefer to have the last appointment nearer to the client’s wedding date to make sure that things are fitting in our client’s current physical state.
One caveat is that we only like to do work once. So, we do not prefer to take something in only to let it out later or vice versa. Being open and clear about any fluctuations or changes you might anticipate for any reason is very helpful during your tailoring journey. In certain instances, we do require additional payment if the work must be repeated.Common concerns include weight loss or gain, pregnancy, gender affirming care, injury, disabilities, etc.

Add Modehaus Bridal Atelier to your google maps and it will direct you to the Northrup King Building in the Arts’ District in North East Minneapolis.
There is a large, free parking lot. Please feel free to park anywhere legally available.
At the turn before the main entrance, there is a door marked as 1450 Vanburen Street. The door has a small green awning and our Modehaus sign outside of it.
Go up one flight of stairs, enter metal door and take right, left down long hallway, left through next hallway, right down the ramp, follow the hanging stars to suite 225.
